Class Description
As an Art Teacher, I understand the challenges pupils can face in completing art work at home, where a ‘studio’ space and advanced equipment may not be available. Join this portfolio enrichment class to practice and apply a wide range of techniques and processes to boost your GCSE/A-Level Art portfolio. Mono print, lino cut, wax resist, weaving, painting (all media), drawing (all media) are options for portfolio enrichment. All Assessment Objectives will be targeted and covered with 1-2-1 mentoring to support your child's enrichment and progress, including annotation and contextual reference guidance and application. It is recommended that sketchbooks and images of artwork are shared with ‘Mrs O’ to support a tailored and effective production of artwork. Your child should bring any equipment they would like to use in the session, although a range of materials will be provided and available as part of the class fee. This class is provided for GCSE and A-level pupils who want to further develop and practice their skills and to boost their portfolio. 🖌️Skills taught: A range of 2D techniques to support AQA 7 EDExcel GCSE/A-Level art portfolio. 🖼️What you will take home: Most pupils will take home at least 2 pieces of completed artwork to compliment and enrich their portfolio. ⭐Top Tips: Parents are encouraged to communicate with Jade (Mrs O) prior to the session, to maximise the experience and productivity of the session. Should large pieces be produced, storage is available as artwork progresses. All artwork will be taken home following completion. ℹ️ Complimentary refreshments are included to keep your creative energy flowing. To help us get everything perfectly ready for you, please head in no earlier than 10 minutes before we begin.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations more than 10 days before: If you need to cancel your booking, you may do so up to 10 days prior to the start of the workshop. You will receive a refund minus the ticket service fee (this is non-refundable processing fee charged by Wix). Please email your request at hello@art-waves.co.uk Cancellations less than 10 days before: We are unable to offer refunds or transfers for customer cancellations made less than 10 days prior to the workshop. The only exception is if we have a waitlist and can successfully fill your space. If you cannot attend, please contact us as soon as possible at hello@art-waves.co.uk If we must cancel a workshop due to low enrolment, instructor illness, or unforeseen circumstances, we will notify you via email or phone at least 48 hours before the event. In this scenario, you can choose one of the following options: • Transfer: Move your booking to a new workshop of your choice. If the new workshop costs more, you will pay the difference. If it costs less, we will refund you the difference. • Credit: Receive a full credit voucher to use toward any future Art Waves event. • Full Refund: Receive a 100% refund of the total amount paid. Payment: All workshops booked must be paid upfront via the website.
