Class Description
Indulge your senses with this botanical drawing and painting class. By observing shadows cast by natural and artificial light, you will learn to apply formal elements such as, line quality, shape, positive and negative space and composition. Choose from a selection of flowers on display in Pompom to produce your work of art! Colour theory will be demonstrated using painting and water colour techniques. You will complete your own botanical shadows piece, bringing mood and energy to life through colour and texture. Pompom is the perfect setting to combine visual art with the natural beauty of the botanical surroundings. 🖌️Skills Taught: Line, line quality with graphite and colour pencil. Shape, composition, positive and negative space, layer and colour theory. Gouache painting techniques, including tone and texture and with a range of paintbrushes. 🖼️What will you will take home: Your one-of-a-kind painting (on hot pressed paper) and presented in an A4 folder. ⭐Top Tips: This class is suitable for beginner and experienced artists. An opportunity to unwind or challenge yourself and create a bespoke, memorable piece of art. This class is perfect to attend solo, with friends or a partner. You are welcome to BYOB. ℹ️Key Information: We provide all the materials you need - just bring your wonderful self! Complimentary refreshments are included to keep your creative energy flowing. Our sessions are led by an experienced artist and usually follow a relaxed, structured format - though we always love to see your unique creativity and self-expression shine. To help us get everything perfectly ready for you, please head in no earlier than 10 minutes before we begin.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations more than 10 days before: If you need to cancel your booking, you may do so up to 10 days prior to the start of the workshop. You will receive a refund minus the ticket service fee (this is non-refundable processing fee charged by Wix). Please email your request at hello@art-waves.co.uk Cancellations less than 10 days before: We are unable to offer refunds or transfers for customer cancellations made less than 10 days prior to the workshop. The only exception is if we have a waitlist and can successfully fill your space. If you cannot attend, please contact us as soon as possible at hello@art-waves.co.uk If we must cancel a workshop due to low enrolment, instructor illness, or unforeseen circumstances, we will notify you via email or phone at least 48 hours before the event. In this scenario, you can choose one of the following options: • Transfer: Move your booking to a new workshop of your choice. If the new workshop costs more, you will pay the difference. If it costs less, we will refund you the difference. • Credit: Receive a full credit voucher to use toward any future Art Waves event. • Full Refund: Receive a 100% refund of the total amount paid. Payment: All workshops booked must be paid upfront via the website.
